Da Nang, Vietnam – April 17, 2025 – The Faculty of English at Duy Tan University successfully held its annual Student Scientific Research Conference across three days—April 11th, 15th, and 17th, 2025—featuring a total of 17 research topics focused on various aspects of English language and education.

The event provided a vibrant platform for undergraduate students to showcase their academic work, exchange ideas, and deepen their understanding of research practices in the fields of Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching, Translation & Interpretation, and Cross-Cultural Communication.

The conference was organized in three thematic sessions, each highlighting student-led projects addressing current issues and innovative approaches in English language education. Topics presented ranged from the integration of technology in English classrooms, learner autonomy, and ESP (English for Specific Purposes) to cultural aspects in translation and the use of metadiscourse in academic writing.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Giang Dean of the Faculty of English, emphasized the importance of research in nurturing critical thinking and professional development among students. “We are proud of our students' dedication and the quality of their work. Events like this not only strengthen research culture but also build confidence for future academic and career pursuits,” she said.

Student presenters received constructive feedback from a panel of faculty members and external experts, many of whom praised the originality, relevance, and academic rigor of the research projects.

The conference also served as a stepping stone for students planning to submit their work to national and international journals or research competitions. The best presentations will be considered for further support and publication opportunities.
