Growing from the lecture hall of Duy Tan University, Nguyen Ba Quang Huy, from an excellent student with many high achievements in the K-24 course of Tourism and Hospitality Management, has now successfully joined SkyTeam of Emirates Airlines - the world's leading prestigious airline.

With his tireless efforts and burning passion for work, Quang Huy has written an impressive and colorful "Aviation Career Journey" of his own.

Equipping himself with a solid foundation before "taking off"

Before having his "true love" career at Emirates Airlines, Quang Huy had carefully prepared and gradually built up his "baggage" with a solid system of knowledge and "hard" and "soft" skills.

From the beginning, Quang Huy has always been steadfast in his academic path. After graduating from high school, Huy chose Duy Tan University for his dream of university. "When it comes to Tourism training in Da Nang or more broadly in the Central Highlands region, everyone immediately thinks of Duy Tan University. Graduates who have gone to work all advise to come to Duy Tan if they choose to study Tourism. After carefully researching the school, I registered to study Tourism and Hotel Management, School of Tourism (HTi), Duy Tan University and received absolute support from my family. From here, my journey of studying and building a career has become extremely favorable, like a dream that every young person has ever dreamed of", Quang Huy said. 

During his studies, Quang Huy acquired a lot of knowledge, experienced and built skills through many practical jobs such as kitchen, housekeeping, security, etc. In particular, Quang Huy actively participated in knowledge sharing workshops, conferences and seminars related to the field of study he is pursuing. A very meaningful program at the school is "Journey to ASEAN" (P2A) which has brought opportunities for students from many ASEAN countries to exchange and learn about the culture and life of the people. This program has also helped Quang Huy cultivate many necessary skills, improve his English proficiency, understand multiculturalism and become much more progressive.

Quang Huy also always asks himself questions and gives answers before participating in job interviews: "Between two students who study and graduate together, what makes the difference in the eyes of employers? That is when a person possesses additional skills such as: communication, singing, dancing, sports, or the ability to host programs,... These strengths will become outstanding factors, helping them create a stronger impression in the eyes of employers".

Thinking like that, Quang Huy decided to take an MC course and then had the opportunity to be trusted by teachers at school to host many school events such as Career Journey Talkshows, Tourism and Hotel Seminars, etc. Thanks to the experience of "holding the mic" at school, at the end of the third year of university, Quang Huy excellently became a Program Host Collaborator at Vietnam Television Station - VTV8.

"Whenever there is an opportunity to grasp a dream, I have to grasp it immediately, using it as practical experience for myself. It can be likened to a business problem: the capital invested is passion, perseverance along with all the factors we prepare and the revenue and profit are not just money but also spiritual joy, resilient strength and new, invaluable experiences that we will gain", Huy believes.

Studying, participating in extracurricular activities and working part-time all give Quang Huy valuable experiences, which are solid "steps" on the flight path, so that when he "takes off", Huy can fly high, far, reaching vast horizons.
