These days, the Hoi An Kien Su VR booth of Duy Tan University at the Education Zone - Hanoi National Exhibition Fair Center is bustling with visitors of all ages coming to visit and experience this unique and culturally and historically meaningful virtual reality interactive game.
Hundreds of comments when surveyed by players of all ages and professions, most of them are compliments: "Very real, like living in Hoi An in the game", "the ability of the young generation of artists and modern technology today is really talented", along with many comments "very fun", "very enjoyable", "great experience", etc. from students.
Hoi An Kien Su is a first-person virtual reality interactive experience developed by Click Studio of Duy Tan University. Players will use a set of Oculus Quest virtual reality glasses to interact with the environment and play mini-games in a single session ranging from 20-30 minutes.
This technology product is associated with cultural preservation through games, recreating the ancient town of Hoi An with events, lifestyles, activities and cultural depth of more than 400 years ago, especially including the wedding of Princess Ngoc Hoa with Japanese merchant Araki Sotaro. In Hoi An Kien Su, players take on the role of a time scientist, tasked with returning a 500-year-old jade necklace to Princess Ngoc Hoa, while also discovering the legendary stories and unique cultural values of the ancient trading port of Hoi An during its golden age.
