SOME TIPS FOR TOEIC LISTENING – PART 2 – WH_QUESTIONS
- QUESTIONS WITH WHERE:
1. Prepositions (in /on / at …) + place
Ex: -Where are you going to spend your vacation?
- In Rome.
2. Go to +place / to + place
Ex: - Where is the Sales Department?
- Go up to the third floor.
3. Adverbial phrases of place
Ex: - Where is City Hall?
- It’s next to the library.
4. Answer with no direct references of place
Ex: - Where is the annual report?
- Maria took it this morning.
- QUESTIONS WITH WHEN:
1. Time expressions + ago
Ex: - When did you finish the report?
- Two days ago.
2. When + past tense verbs
Ex:- When did you know about this retirement?
- When I visited the company.
3. Prepositions (at / on /in / by…) + future time
Ex: - When are you leaving for vacation?
- On Friday.
4. When + present tense verbs

4. Personal pronouns

3. Objects of transitive verbs.
