SOME TIPS TO IMPROVE TOEIC SPEAKING PART 5 (PROPOSE A SOLUTION)

1. Follow a fixed structure every time

A stable template helps you speak confidently.

Recommended structure:

  1. Greeting + acknowledgment
  2. Repeat the problem briefly
  3. Give 2–3 practical solutions
  4. Close politely

2. Summarize the problem in 1 short sentence

Do not repeat the entire prompt.

“You said customers are complaining about long waiting times.”

“I heard that many customers said that they have been waiting for a very long time and…”

Short + clear = more time for solutions.

3. Always give two solutions

TOEIC wants multiple suggestions.

Example solutions:

  • Call someone
  • Send an email
  • Extend business hours
  • Offer discounts
  • Hire temporary staff
  • Move the meeting
  • Order replacement parts

Giving 2 solutions is enough for a high score.

4. Use simple, safe, business-friendly vocabulary

You don’t need complex words.

Examples:

  • “I recommend…”
  • “It would be helpful to…”
  • “One option is to…”
  • “Another solution is to…
