Tips for TOEIC Part 1: Describe
Part 1 - Describing images is a quite interesting part of the TOEIC test. So how to do this part both quickly and accurately?
- Before doing the test, look at the whole picture and guess the related nouns and verbs, then try to predict the possible contexts or situations that may occur in the picture.
- Pay attention to the verb or noun of each option. Incorrect sentences are often caused by incorrect verbs or nouns, meaning they refer to objects or actions that are not in the picture.
- Don't ignore the small details in the picture. Occasionally (although a bit rare), the test will puzzle over very small details and not ask or ask the wrong main details.
- Observe the action happening in the picture and pay attention to the continuous tense
- Listen for prepositions of place.
- Get familiar with passive sentences
